Safeguarding

Safeguarding at Warren School

We recognise that children in their care have the fundamental right to be protected from harm. We will do whatever is reasonable to promote our pupils’ safety and wellbeing. We are committed to create an ethos which contributes to the care, safety and wellbeing of children, staff and visitors of our schools.

The principles that underpin our ethos include ensuring that our children feel secure and are encouraged to communicate, and are listened to, if they have any concerns. All staff, governors and regular visitors will be trained to know how to recognise a disclosure from a child and know how to manage it in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education. The child will be made aware that we cannot make promises or keep secrets.

We will work in partnership and endeavour to establish effective working relationships with parents, carers and other relevant agencies. However, although we aim to balance the protection of the child with the rights and needs of the parents, the child’s safety must always come first.

Should you have Safeguarding concerns regarding any pupil at one of our schools, please speak to one of the Designated Safeguarding Leads at the school, details for whom you can find below:

Safeguarding Coordinator: Gemma Arlow, email address gemmaarlow@warrenschool.co.uk
Designated Safeguarding Lead: Paris Frazer, email address parisfrazer@warrenschool.co.uk

Consortium Trust are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Our schools are a safe place for children, where our responsibilities for safeguarding children are taken seriously. Our Locality Committees are regularly updated about child protection, bullying and safeguarding policies and practices by the Academy Head, and or other members of the Trust's Central Team.                                                                                                                                                              The Trust fully adopts the Keeping Children Safe in Education guidance annually; all staff receive Statutory Training, as well as an update briefing each PD Day in September, covering all aspects of safeguarding and prevent.
